Who runs remotxai?
Section titled “Who runs remotxai?”remotxai is a hosted service by Kalebtec. Kalebtec runs the app and the relay at app.remotxai.com. The program you install runs on your computer, and that is where your agents run.
Where do my agents run?
Section titled “Where do my agents run?”On your computer. remotxai does not run agents in the cloud. Your phone is a remote control and a window into them.
Which agents work?
Section titled “Which agents work?”Claude Code, Codex and Pi. You need the agent program installed and signed in on the computer. remotxai uses your login. It does not add one.
Pi support is experimental. Claude Code and Codex have had more testing.
Does remotxai read my prompts or my code?
Section titled “Does remotxai read my prompts or my code?”No. The link between your phone and your computer is encrypted end to end, so the relay in the middle cannot read it. Your computer reads everything, because the agent runs there. What remotxai can see lists what remotxai does see.
Does my computer need to stay on?
Section titled “Does my computer need to stay on?”Yes. Sessions run on it. A computer that sleeps stops working until it wakes. The phone can be off or away.
Which computers can I use?
Section titled “Which computers can I use?”macOS (Apple silicon or Intel) and Linux (x64). Windows is not supported.
Can I pair more than one phone?
Section titled “Can I pair more than one phone?”Yes. Each phone pairs separately and gets its own role. remotxai pair list shows them.
I lost my phone. What do I do?
Section titled “I lost my phone. What do I do?”On the computer, run remotxai pair list, then remotxai pair revoke with the start of that phone’s fingerprint. The phone is refused from then on. A phone connected at that moment stays connected until it drops, so restart the service with remotxai service restart to cut it off at once. The phone holds a key and no session history.
What is a session?
Section titled “What is a session?”One conversation with one agent in one folder. It runs on the computer and survives your phone going offline. You can start, pause, branch and delete sessions from the app.
What happens when I switch to Yolo?
Section titled “What happens when I switch to Yolo?”The agent stops asking and runs everything. See Approvals and Yolo mode.
Can my team use it?
Section titled “Can my team use it?”Organisations, shared sessions and team billing are coming soon. Today an account has one Personal workspace for you.
Can someone else watch or drive my session?
Section titled “Can someone else watch or drive my session?”Not yet. Sharing a session with a Viewer or a Driver is coming soon. Pairing a phone gives that phone your level of access, so pair only phones you own.
