What remotxai can see

Your agents run on your computer. Your code and your conversations stay there. This page lists what leaves the computer and who can read it.

  • Your code and files.
  • The full conversation history of every session, stored on the computer.
  • Attachments you send, and the files agents write.
  • Secrets you send. They are deleted when the session ends.
  • The logins of your agent programs. remotxai starts the agent with the login you chose. It never copies the login anywhere else.

Your phone and your computer talk through a relay run by remotxai. Everything about your sessions that crosses it is encrypted end to end between the two. See End-to-end encryption.

Who What they can see What they cannot see
remotxai relay That a computer and a phone are connected, when, for how long, how many bytes, and routing identifiers. Prompts, replies, code, files, secrets, approvals.
remotxai account side Your email and name, your computers (name, operating system, remotxai version, public keys), sign-in sessions, usage counters. Anything about the content of your sessions.
Phone notification service (Apple, Google, Mozilla or Microsoft) That your phone received a notification. The notification text. It is encrypted to your browser.
  • Read what you and the agent say to each other.
  • Run anything on your computer. Only a phone you paired can send commands, and the computer checks each one.
  • Pair a new phone for you. Pairing needs a code typed at the computer.
  • Approve an action for you.
  • Your phone’s browser stores the key that identifies your phone, the names of your computers and any message you typed and did not send. These are not encrypted on the phone. Clearing the site data in the browser removes them, and you pair again.
  • Your agent’s provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or another) sees what the agent sends it, as it always did. remotxai is not in that path.

Data we keep lists what is stored and for how long.
