Notifications
Notifications tell you when a session needs you, so you do not have to keep the app open.
Turn them on
Section titled “Turn them on”- Install the app on your phone. On iPhone this is required. See Install the app on your phone.
- Open a computer and choose Notifications in the status bar.
- Choose Notify this device. Allow notifications when the phone asks.
Each phone turns them on by itself. Stop notifying this device turns them off for that phone.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”- Approval required: an agent wants to run something, with the tool name when there is one.
- Session waiting on you: a session is blocked on your answer.
- Input requested: an agent asked a question.
- Turn complete: a session finished and is idle again.
- Tool failed: a tool returned an error.
- A message from the agent itself, when it chooses to notify you.
- A warning when the remotxai service on the computer kept crashing and has just recovered.
You get nothing while the app is on screen. The same notification for the same session arrives at most once every 15 seconds.
A notification names the session and the reason. It never contains what the agent wrote or your code.
If it does not work
Section titled “If it does not work”- Notifications are blocked in this browser. Allow them in the phone’s settings for the app.
- This browser cannot receive push notifications. On iPhone, install the app first.
- This computer cannot send push notifications. Update remotxai on the computer with
remotxai upgrade.
