Send a prompt

A prompt is a message to the agent. You type it in the composer at the bottom of a session.

  1. Open the session.
  2. Type in the Message box.
  3. Choose Send.

You can send while the agent is working. The message goes into a queue and reaches the agent at its next safe stopping point, as if you had typed it in the terminal.

Queued messages show above the composer. You can reorder, edit or cancel a message until it is delivered.

Use the session menu (the controls icon in the session header).

  • Undo last turn drops the agent’s last turn from its history.
  • Clear conversation starts a new conversation in the same session. The agent loses its context. Your earlier transcript stays visible, and files stay as they are.
  • Compact context summarises the conversation to free space.
  • Branch session continues from here in a new session. The original stays untouched.
  • Change model / effort switches the model for the next turns.
  • Pause session stops after the current turn.
  • Rename… changes the session name.

Switch to Plan mode makes the agent research and write a plan. It edits nothing until you choose Switch to Default mode. The change applies from the next turn.

Copy resume command copies the command that reopens this session in the agent’s own terminal program. Paste it on the computer.
